While I can't particpate in as many fantasy football mock drafts as I'd like, I try to be involved in as many as I can as it gives me a good idea of how any fantasy football draft can fall.

Or course, those that have owners who are committed and caring (meaning they make their fantasy football picks every round either live or by predraft ranking instead of letting a computer pick for them) make for the best fantasy football mock's to be part of. But even those that have a computer pick for many players have value in determining where a player may fall in a fantasy football ranking sheet when your actual draft comes around.

The main value of taking part in fantasy football mock drafts in these early months is to gauge where serious fantasy football player's are thinking in regards to an NFL player's fantasy football value. It allows you to be able to identify players you may have overlooked on your initial fantasy football rankings for the upcoming season. It also allows you to see where others may think of fantasy football sleepers you have your eye on. By knowing where others will take your prized fantasy football sleepers in a mock draft gives you a good idea of where you can probably expect that player to go in your actual fantasy draft. Once you've identified where that player is going in a fantasy football draft, you know you need to be there at least 1 round earlier when the real thing comes along.

Now there are always times when things don;t go as planned and your guy gets selected earlier than he did in your research by someone else in your league, but that's likely to happen to only one or two guys on your fantasy football sleeper list, and that's why you identify several at each position.

Being prepeared for what is likely to happen in your fantasy football drafts is one of the best weapons you have when formulating your fantasy football strategy every year.

Russ- Fantasy Football Mock Drafts are a lot of fun and I highly recommend one of our partners - Mock Draft Central. They have a great site/mock draft offering.

“I am advancing to the championship game in both of my leagues and I believe a lot of the credit goes to those of you in this forum and the many tools that we have access to”. (Ron 3 year member)

“This site greatly helped me make it through this year in both my leagues and all the great help from other members thanks very much fellas!” (Courtney first year member)

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
