To me Tate is the toughest to rank on this list. Usually a running back on Cleveland means fantasy death. But the Browns have little in the passing game, which means it will be a running attack mostly, and that is attractive to fantasy owners, and Tate can catch the ball as well.

But can he stay healthy???

I hear ya, James, he sure is hard to rank. Great upside, however, West is a phenomenal talent, my second-ranked rookie runner prior to the draft. Cleveland will run a ton, you are right on the money, and I think it all starts off great for Tate. Health is the question, and if he does stumble at all with the staying on the field part, West will carve out a role that won't be given back to Tate.

The answer? Own both in any league you want to roll with Tate. Both are a nice RB2, in fact, a sneaky RB2. Owning just Tate has huge upside but just as huge a risk.

Good topic, James!

Once we things merge forum-wise, we will be having more great convos, James! I can't wait! I'll try to jump on more while we wait, though!

Smitty,

I don't know if any lineup can take having two Brown Rb's on their fantasy squad, but your right, if you take Tate, you have to grab West.

Without Gordon, it will be 8 men in the box stopping the run and a rookie QB that will be blitzed to death

I think I will pass on the Brownie backs if I can, but I might grab West in my keeper league though. Tate just can't stay healthy

Yeah, the 8-man fronts wont help in the YPC dept, but I think CLE will have a decent enough passing attack (keyword decent) that the running game will still do ok. What a shane Josh Gordon can't stay on the field.
