With our rollout this 2012 season of ehnanced scoring you can now get a much more accurate fantasy football projection when different positions (i.e. RB, WR, TE, K) have different scoring types.

I'm new to the draft analyzer. I want to use it during my live draft and want to know if it will help me identify which players to pick as the draft goes on to the mid and late rounds. if it does not do that can someone reccomend something else. Thanks

Depending on how you use the draft analzyer (stats or tier), it will identify players in a specific tier based on their total points. If you have 4 RBs to pick from in a later round, you might look at late season schedule or maybe one of those 4 RBs is a handcuff to your starter. So it the draft analyzer won't say draft player A over player B, but will help identify possible draft picks to look at, at any given position.

You can keep the big VBD board up during a live draft and remove players as they get selected. This way it is showing you the highest ranked player on both the VBD board and the positional rnakings links.

But I prefer Tiering myself. It's explained in the eBook that you can access in the Tools tab after logging in.

After my re-read from your How To. I rechecked last year and updated the scoring Here is what is selected. I was surprised. Rogers was first this time. Hmmmm, what do you think Russ? Not what I was expecting after the re-read. Sroples as a top RB this year. Not where I would rank him, it does make a little sense. NO is going to be a big run team... Hmmmm?

Well, I can't paste it here. 12 teams, 16 rounds.

Rogers, Foster, Brees, Brady, McCoy, Rice, Megatron, Stafford, CJ(rb), MDJ, Sproles, Newton.

Sproles doesn't do his damage rushing, but more as a receiver. In 2011 he had 86 receptions (big PPR boost), 710 receiving yards and 7 receiving TD's. Add that to his rushing totals and he had 1,313 yards and 9 TD's. Goof for borderline RB1/2 numbers in standard formats, a lot better in PPR formats as only Ray Rice was within 29 receptions of him at the RB position.

Rodgers makes a lot of sense as the top pick. I personally prefer Arian Foster myself, but like I am always saying: the big board on the Draft Analyzer results page is a value based draft board. I much prefer using the Tiering method.

Thanks Russ, was there a posting or pdf where you talk about Tiering in more detail than the How To doc? I kind of understood it.
