As we prepare for fantasy football drafts, I thought I'd share my own personalized fantasy football cheat sheet tier rankings I'm taking to a draft later today. A bit different of a decimal point scoring system as WR's get .13 points for every receiving yard, 6 pts for all TD's, -2 for fumbles, .5 PPR. These sheets were created by using this scoring system in the Draft Analyzer and then I made some tweaks to them for things the DAN can't take into consideration (average draft position, personal intuition and preferences, uncertainty of status due to injury, etc). Of course this list doesn't include all potential players that could be ranked but space limitations dictate I keep it smaller than our Draft Analyzer will provide. Good luck with these!

Hi Russ,
Thanks for posting your WR Tiers they look great. I am curious about two WR placements. Why did you place Edwards in the 3rd Tier and not the 2nd? I am in a non PPR league with 10 teams 1pt per 20yds rushing and receiving and 6pts per TD. Starting 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, and 1D. In this type of league I am assuming Edwards would move up into the 2nd Tier since he will be a double digit TD producer, plus he is great with YAK yds.
Also, I am confused as to why you didn't place Calvin Johnson in the same tier as Holmes. He is a beast and has been a man among boys in the preseason. I am going to go watch his game vs. the Browns right now and see if he continues to dominate. Maybe I should be more cautious? I play in a Yahoo league and won't know the draft order until tomorrow 30 mn before the draft. I have seen his ADP run between 47-56 meaning I may have to draft Johnson in the bottom of the 5th round or early 6th in my 10 team league. Does this sound right, or am I overvalueing him?
I've always stressed personal intuition and I try to SWING FOR THE FENCES with riskier picks after the 5th round.
Your thoughts are appreciated.
 Kind regards,
Steve

I'm amazed how far Wes Welker has slid on everyone's boards this year.  Watched him in preseason and he looks solid again.

You keep believing in Antonio Bryant. But I wouldn't draft him in any league nor expect him to produce anything better than what I can get on the wwaiver wire.

As for Harrison, I have problems with 36 year old WR's who start having knee problems. I would be happy to just see him stay healthy and get to 80 yards and 5 TD's. But I'm not holding my breath

I will believe in Bryant, and the other hopeful breakout candidates on my team, but in order to win fantasy championships you need to draft well after the first few rounds. Its in those rounds a winner is built, it's the later rounds that defines a good GM. I took chances on LJ, Deuce Mcalister,Bryant, willie parker and with brady my qb, and colston and calvin johnson as my wde outs, winlsow and cooley as TE's, I think I put together a decent team.

I think a lot of people continue to sleep on Burleson as a Top 15 receiver.  My scoring system is similar to yours (1 pt / 10 yds) and I was able to put together a receiving corps of Fitzgerald, Coles, Burleson in a 12-team league, even though 3 of my first 4 picks were RBs.
Another team did grab T.O., A. Johnson, and C. Ocho Cinco but they spent 3 of their first 4 picks on WRs and are weak at RB.  Meanwhile, I was told that my WRs "suck" and was given the 3rd worst grade following the draft.  I have Favre/Warner at QB, LJ/McGahee/R.Brown/C.Taylor at RB, and Shockey at TE.
Hasselbeck has to throw TDs to someone, and Burleson is the last man standing at the moment, but will he be able to handle being a #1 WR?  Also, he had a few return TDs last year and given the other WR injuries on the team, I can't imagine him returning kicks this season, at least until the other WRs return.
What are everyone's feelings on Burleson's projected stats?
