after two successful seasons of winning it all in 2010 and 2011 in a competitive 10 team league 2012 and apparently 2013 will be one and done in the playoffs.

So here is my last post for a while that I will repost as we get closer to the start of 2014. In our league if you keep a player and lets say two others teams keep a player and the remaining 7 teams keep no one. Then those 7 teams go into the hat for draft positions 1 through 7 and then the 3 teams keeping a player are drawn for draft positions 8 through 10.

For me unlike years past when I hoped to have a top 3 pick to get the likes of AP, Arian Foster, or Ray Rice. I no longer put that much value in a top pick given the current talent pool and feel just as confident being towards the back of the draft were I can likely get two solid RB's. So here is my somewhat unfair question to ask given there are a fair amount of unknowns as of today.

Cameron Gordon TE Cleveland: Worth a 9th round pick in 2014-He was a stud boarderline Jimmy Graham producer until Hoyer got hurt and Cleveland became a QB carosel. In our league despite his somewhat awful numbers towards the end he still ranks as a top 5 TE.

Ben Tate: Worth a 6th round pick in 2014?- He's in the last year of his rookie contract and by all accounts will be somewhat sought after in free agency. Depending on where he goes will largely determine his value but if he goes to a decent team as the featured back I could see him being a 5th or 6th round pick in a 10 team league. Having him protected would give me the luxury of knowning I have a starting RB going into 2014 and would give me a little luxury in my first two picks not necessarily being RB, RB. Also if I were to keep Ben Tate I could do something I normally don't which is target an elite QB with one of my first two picks. Perhaps go QB, RB thus knowning after my first two picks I really have QB, RB, RB and then in rounds 3-4 addressing the WR position by going WR, WR.

Russell Wilson: Worth a 10th round pick in 2014?- Currently in our 10 team league he ranks at about 6. My concern is Seattle is a run first team but maybe that changes a little in 2014 with a health Percy Harvin? Plus as mentioned above if I protect Tate I can get an elite QB or perhaps Wilson is such good value that keeping him allows me to go RB, WR with my first two picks. Is Russell on the cusp of becoming an elite FF QB?

I can protect up to two players and if I were to protect two of these players I would pretty much guarantee myself the #10 pick which I'm fine with in a 10 team league and something that would make preparing for 2014 even easier as opposed to not knowning my draft position/number.

We don't have to make our keepers know until minutes before our draft.

Feedback appreciated.

“I am hosting one league on NFL.com as well. Personally I thing there projections are way out of sync and have been less than reliable. I completely ignored them all year and instead took input from the LA at FFS which has proven to be much more accurate”. (Hooked 5 year Member)
